In the Spirit of the 80th National Day of September 2: Honoring the Past – Shaping the Future

Every autumn, the Vietnamese people proudly commemorate the historic National Day of September 2. The year 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam – now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This milestone is not only a shining page of history, but also a moment for us to reflect on the journey traveled, to pay tribute to the sacrifices of past generations, and to look ahead to a new era of development, where our nation becomes ever more integrated, prosperous, and sustainable.

1. Vietnam – Eight Decades of Resilience and Aspiration

Since President Ho Chi Minh proclaimed the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square in 1945, our nation has endured and overcome countless hardships: two protracted wars of resistance, the immense task of post-war reconstruction, decades of embargo and economic crisis, and later, the historic reforms of 1986.

These efforts have transformed Vietnam from a poor, war-torn nation into one of the most dynamic economies in the region. Today, Vietnam ranks among the world’s 40 largest economies, with one of the fastest and most stable growth rates in Asia. Exports have surpassed USD 400 billion, foreign direct investment inflows consistently remain among the top in ASEAN, and living standards continue to improve steadily.

Equally important, Vietnam has been asserting its position on the global stage: as an active participant in new-generation trade agreements, a trusted destination for international investors, and a responsible voice in global issues of peace, sustainable development, and climate change.

These achievements are the proud result of 80 years of resilience and aspiration – a journey in which our nation has not only “stood firmly on its own feet,” but now steps confidently into a new era of growth and prosperity.

2. 250 Landmark Projects – A New Driving Force for Vietnam’s Economy

To celebrate the 80th National Day, Vietnam has simultaneously commenced and inaugurated 250 landmark projects nationwide, with a total investment of VND 1.28 quadrillion. These include 08 national key projects, 46 group-A projects, and numerous others in groups B and C. Notably, 129 projects funded by the state account for more than VND 478 trillion, demonstrating the Government’s strong determination to lay a solid foundation for long-term growth.

Among the most significant are:

Long Thanh International Airport: Designed to handle 100 million passengers and 5 million tons of cargo annually, set to become the largest aviation hub in the region.

HCMC Ring Road 3 – Nhon Trach: Providing direct connection to Long Thành Airport, alleviating congestion at Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport and southern gateways.

Rach Mieu 2 Bridge: Strengthening links between Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta, reducing logistics costs and boosting agricultural and aquaculture exports.

Eastern North–South Expressway: A strategic backbone to enhance logistics, improve regional connectivity, and drive socio-economic development.

High-speed North–South Railway: Linking Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with trains running at 350 km/h, reducing travel time to just 5 hours – heralding a new era for rail transport.

Metro systems in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City: Ongoing development of new lines to modernize urban transport following the completion of Lines 1 and 2.

Strategic seaports: Lach Huyen (Hai Phong) and Cai Mep – Thi Vai (Ho Chi Minh City) expansions to become major international transshipment hubs in Southeast Asia, bridging the Pacific and Indian Oceans.

These projects reflect Vietnam’s clear ambition to build seamless connectivity across land, sea, and air, positioning itself as a regional logistics and investment hub. Beyond their material value, they stand as symbols of national unity, confidence, and aspiration – a continuation of the revolutionary spirit of Autumn 1945, guiding Vietnam steadily into the future.

In addition to infrastructure development, decisive government policies – such as administrative streamlining through provincial mergers, institutional reforms, digital transformation, and improvements in the business environment – are providing a strong “soft push” alongside the “hard push” of infrastructure. Together, they ensure Vietnam will not miss the opportunity to become a high-income nation by 2050.

3. Hoang Son – Partnering to Build the Future

In the proud spirit of the 80th National Day, Hoang Son Fly Ash and Cement Joint Stock Company takes pride in being part of the nation’s journey of development. Over the years, Hoàng Sơn has remained steadfast in its mission of producing and recycling green, sustainable building materials – contributing not only to environmental protection, but also to meeting the country’s growing demand for modern infrastructure.

Entering a new phase of growth, Hoang Son is committed to:

  • Advancing research and applying modern technology in the production of eco-friendly materials.

For Hoàng Sơn, this is both a source of pride and a powerful motivation to continuously innovate, create, and accompany the country’s aspirations for progress.

Honoring the Past – Shaping the Future, Hoang Son reaffirms its commitment to contributing to a green, modern, and sustainable Vietnam – worthy of the proud legacy of our nation’s 80 years of resilience and glory.
