Permeable Paver – a co-operation project between Hoang Son and Eco System Inc., (Japan) – Part 3 – Experiment of superiority quality of permeable paver at Aeon Mall Tan Phu project

Eco System and Hoang Son reached an agreement with Aeon Mall investor to experiment permeable paver at Aeon Mall Tan Phu project, specifically at parking area for motorbike, lot B5, B4 and B3. The main purpose is to create permeable project from recycled materials with superiority over:

  • Quality: drainage, anti-slippery, and abrasion
  • Aesthetics: completely different from other ordinary ziczac paver, equivalent to high quality natural stone products.
  • Environmental friendliness: water absorption ability of paver result in lower temperature on paver’s surface than ordinary ziczac paver or natural stone, in turn reducing outside temperature and greenhouse effects.

We paved 3 different pavers at each parking lot: permeable paver from recycled materials, permeable paver from natural materials and non-permeable paver from recycled materials.

In each lot, paver will be attached with sensor and camera to control all 3 areas. Afterwards, technical comparison will be made regarding surface temperature, abrasion, strength index activity, splitting compression intensity in the next 3 months from construction date.

We agreed with Aeon Mall to perform construction activities from 10.30 PM to 6.00 AM the next day. Key preparation tasks were taking out the old pavers, background cleaning, adding stones and sands as required by Eco System. After preparation completed, we pave the new permeable paver. Despite limited time at night, we have to complete construction for one lot as we are required to return the premises to investor. We completed other lots under similar process the next night.

After 4 nights of intensive construction and setting up camera and sensor, Eco System will evaluate superiority of permeable paver every day for the next 60 days. Results will be updated in our next post.
