At Phuc Lam Orphanage, compassion is quietly present in the rhythm of everyday life—in the dedicated care for underprivileged children, and in the way each life story is listened to, embraced, and gently cherished. For Hoang Son Fly Ash and Cement Joint Stock Company, accompanying community-oriented initiatives likewise begins with understanding and sharing these simple yet profound values.

During the visit to Phuc Lam Orphanage (Long Thanh, Dong Nai Province), the Company’s visiting group had the opportunity to gain a deeper appreciation of the quiet yet meaningful values that are being nurtured here everyday. Currently, the orphanage is caring for 119 children of different ages and backgrounds, including 70 children aged 6–18, as well as 50 younger children, among whom 20 are newborns requiring special attention and dedicated care.

In addition to providing care and educational support for the children, the orphanage is also accompanying one first-year university student, one second-year university student, and three vocational students, including two students pursuing nursing, thereby gradually supporting them in building a solid foundation for their future.

Behind these figures lie many exceptionally difficult life circumstances. Some children were brought to the orphanage from landfills, cemeteries, or marketplaces; others live with the long-term effects of Agent Orange exposure. Most poignantly, there was a case of a newborn who had been abandoned in a plastic bag in the middle of a melaleuca forest, weighing only 800 grams when discovered. Thanks to the orphanage’s unwavering care and unconditional love, these children have been gradually overcoming such profoundly disadvantaged beginnings, day by day.
Through this charitable activity, Hoang Son Fly Ash and Cement Joint Stock Company presented practical gifts to support the daily living needs and care of the children at the orphanage. This act of sharing not only helps to alleviate immediate challenges, but also reflects the Company’s spirit of companionship in the ongoing journey of caring for, nurturing, and supporting children in especially disadvantaged circumstances.

Amid the quiet stories at Phuc Lam Orphanage, the value of patience and long-term companionship in nurturing the future becomes clearly evident. This is also the spirit that Hoang Son Fly Ash and Cement Joint Stock Company seeks to uphold in implementing its corporate social responsibility initiatives—placing people at the center and sustainability as the foundation.
